Our commemorative poster celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Cotton House Hotel in Barcelona.

Our commemorative poster celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Cotton House Hotel in Barcelona.

Presenting our latest collaboration with the fantastic creative team at the luxury Cotton House Hotel in Barcelona.

The design, in keeping with our shared modern art deco aesthetic, has been created with art direction by Meg Gage Williams, Founder and Ceo of Stick No Bills, and Angela Hartwick, Creative Director,  with the illustration by the celebrated Danish artist Mads Berg.

The Master Edition (1/1) of this poster was presented in our Europe Flagship Gallery in El Born Barcelona, before it was moved to its new home. It has now been hung underneath the famous hanging staircase of the former headquarters of the Barcelona Cotton Guild, which for the last 10 years has been the Cotton House Hotel.

The original building was completed in 1879 and later remodeled in 1957 by the renowned Catalan architects Rubió i Tudurí when it became the Cotton House and the hanging staircase was added. In 2015, the studio of Lázaro Rosa-Violán carried out the project to convert it into the Hotel Cotton House, preserving and celebrating elements such as the magnificent staircase the poster celebrates.

This artwork represents an important milestone for us, solidifying our position not only in the restoration of archive posters, but also in the creation of new and original artworks that celebrate internationally renowned places, institutions and sporting events.

Recent examples include the commemorative poster we created for the New York Yacht Club’s American Magic team for the 37th America’s Cup held in Barcelona last summer. We have also created a poster to celebrate the Casa Batlló, also available for sale in the Simbòlic Casa Batlló Store in the Gaudí building.

This creative endeavour is complemented by our specialism with The Archives Design Group Ltd in revitalizing vintage posters from renowned institutional archives. In this way, our collection also includes remastered posters from brands such as the Barcelona fashion house Santa Eulalia, the Fomento del Turismo de Mallorca, and marketing destination travel posters from global names in air travel airlines such as Pan Am, British Airways and Lufthansa.

This design is available in limited print run Museum Editions, signed and numbered with the print run depending on size, always using the highest quality paper and printing techniques. They can also be purchased as Premium Open Editions also printed with excellent print and paper quality. Finally, all designs are also produced in exclusive Rare Editions (three sizes with print runs of 7, 8 and 9 prints) and the Master (a unique 1/1 fine art print) with the title hand-embossed in 24k gold.
