Discover Our Latest Collection: El Camino de Santiago de Compostela Collection

They say all paths lead to Santiago de Compostela, and at Stick No Bills, they certainly do.

We're delighted to introduce our latest collection of modern Art Deco-style poster artworks and fine art prints celebrating El Camino, the epic pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain.

Executive production by Founder & CEO Meg Gage Williams, art direction by Creative Director Angela Hartwick, and illustration by award-winning artist Mads Berg. This new, vintage-style collection marks the 10th anniversary of our seminal Mallorca Travel Poster Collection, co-created with Berg.

Thus, following Spanish collections from Mallorca and Barcelona – where we have our Global Printworks and Europe Flagship Gallery, respectively – we wanted to highlight a different and meaningful aspect of our home in Spain.

Stick No Bills was founded on a belief that poster art can expand our minds and our worlds through a visual celebration of the power of travel. The pilgrimage is arguably the first way people traveled for something other than immediate physical necessity, although many would argue that spiritual enlightenment is, in itself, an innate human need.

Thus we realised El Camino and its ultimate destination, the city of Santiago de Compostela, was the perfect next step for a collection of Stick No Bills poster artworks.

The Camino de Santiago Collection celebrates the rich history, natural beauty, vibrant culture and spiritual significance of these well-trodden paths. Through these vintage-style artworks, we hope to inspire those dreaming of pulling on their boots and embarking on one of El Camino's many routes, or to serve as a cherished reminder of pilgrimages undertaken.

The 9 motifs cover some of the most well-known and loved vistas and paths, including a map showcasing the most well-known routes; the French Way, the Northern Way, and the Portuguese Camino. In several images, the iconic Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is featured in all its inspiring beauty. The energy of the Rua de Vilar and then the final destination, the Plaza del Obradoiro is an unparalleled experience we wanted to encapsulate in an artwork.

We have two cycling pilgrims traversing the lush, green Galician countryside, while another depicts the approach to the Faro de Finisterre, the powerful moment of arriving at the most western point of continental Europe. We move from Galicia with a vista onto the Puente de la Reina in Navarra, a vital crossing point on the Camino Frances, as well a motif of the famed wine-growing fields of La Rioja. The historic architectural features, an hórreo and a cruceiro, which line every pilgrim's journey across this spectacular landscape, are also featured.

Finally, we have a poster showcasing the cherished sellos (stamps) from the Credencial del Peregrino (Pilgrim's Passport), each one telling a story as they are collected from churches, albergues, and significant locations along the route. We hope this collection serves as an artistic expression of the memory, celebration and enduring hope this journey continues to give to the half a million pilgrims who have started to complete this journey in recent years.

A fixed percentage of all sales from this collection, after licensor dues, will be donated to Médicos sin Fronteras, Spain.

Explore the El Camino de Santiago Collection today, or find us in Santiago de Compostela itself, right in the heart of the city on the Rua do Vilar, and find your own piece of this timeless journey.
