In its promotion of  ‘Anís La Isla’, ‘Palo Rumbo’ and ‘Ron Caney’ this exquisitely art deco style graphic time-stamps how Mallorquin culture is closely linked to its home-brewed liqueurs; recipes unique to the Balearics poured into botellitas and all but unknown overseas up until the early 20th Century. Concoctions passed down informally over centuries, combining international best practices with locally picked fruits and herbs, have long been elaborated in local distilleries into myriad types of rum, anise and ‘hierbas’ for distribution throughout the archipelago to be served in bar, cafes and restaurants alone or with coffee.
