THE NO BILL PIECE PRIZE, MIDDLE EAST EDITION, 2025

The No Bill Piece Prize travel poster design competition dates back to 2013 when it was created to add new poster artworks for the first Stick No Bills gallery in Galle Fort, Sri Lanka. 

This year’s edition will focus exclusively on Dubai and Abu Dhabi for the first time, in celebration of the brand’s Middle East regional flagship gallery located in the Al Quoz art district of Dubai. 

The competition invites artists with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of this part of the world to create poster artworks that capture the natural, cultural, architectural, historic and typographic essence of these two desert cities. 

Submissions should apply hand-illustrated talent to highlight the remarkable sites, traditions and events that define these two extraordinary cities, creating stylish artworks in keeping with the modern art deco look and feel of the Stick No Bills portfolio. Winning entrants will become part of the Stick No Bills mission to spearhead a renaissance in the global travel poster art movement as part of our Middle East Collection.

Each submission must be accompanied by a paragraph describing the artist’s creative process, including personal experience of the subject of their artworks in these places, and/or their personal connection to the places/cultural events depicted.

TECHNICAL DETAILS:

• Format: contestants must create their images in portrait format, first hand sketched and then colour rendered in photoshop with an aspect ratio of 2:3.
• File: submissions must include both a 2-5 MB JPEG of the final high resolution photoshop file and the initial pencil sketches. The submission must be signed and include a one-paragraph explainer of the work. (The raw tiff file of the final artwork must be retained in raw format at a size of at least 50MB - in case the entrant becomes the winner). 
• Submission form: all elements of each submission must be attached via the Submission Form here. Forms that are not completed and signed will not be considered. 
• Submission deadline: 22.08.2025.
