Hundreds of you kind souls have sent such uplifting messages about Philip in which many of you have asked how you can help commemorate his life. So I’ve set up this GoFundMe page to donate to the Spanish Not-For-Profit Fundación Fero in his name.

During his last four years with us Philip volunteered for clinical trials funded by Fero, taking place in pioneering biomedical laboratories Spain-wide. Since its inception in 2001, the Foundation, working closely with the National Institutes of Cancer Research in both Madrid and London, has financed world-leading, cutting-edge translational research undertaken by the brightest molecular and genomic scientists, for a future without cancer, and Philip told us this is where he wanted all of our efforts to go.
The outpouring of love has embraced us like a giant global hug and we hope that together we can apply this groundswell of positive energy born out of love for Philip towards helping shape a future free from this terrible disease.
No cancer should be terminal; with more focus and awareness all cases should and can be prevented.
Our mission - which our ultra-athletic new Global Content Editor Kiki King is helping me orchestrate - is to collectively swim 555km circumnavigating Mallorca (echoing Phil´s own fundraising swimathon in 2020) to raise 10,000 Euros to donate to Fero´s vital scientific research to better detect, deter and deny cancer in its earliest and therefore most curable stages.
As a tribute to Philip we want to help accelerate equitable access to optimal targeted cellular and genetic therapies which have the ever-increasing synergistic potential to nip cancer in the bud.
