Stick No Bills® Global Fine Art Printworks & Poster Gallery at Imprenta Nueva Balear joins the Museum of Tourism as ‘Room 99’ within the not-for-profit organisation’s international network of institutions which play luminary roles in the development of tourism.
“Our primary objective is to highlight the people, companies and destinations that have laid the foundations for the world of travel, thereby paying tribute to those who have preceded us. It therefore gives us tremendous pleasure to invite the Stick No Bills Printworks in Palma De Mallorca to become Room 99,” states Alberto Bosque Coello, Director of the Museum.

Each venue selected to join the Museum of Tourism brings its own story, legacy and tradition of excellence that visitors revel in discovering. From a library of travel documents depicting early travel to La Pampa in Argentina to the European Travel Commission in Brussels, from a museum that tracks the history of travel to the land of the Pharaohs in Egypt, to our esteemed licensors at the Fomento de Turismo de Mallorca, just down the road from us in Palma, each place is different, distinctive and adds to the rich tapestry of the history of global travel.

Located in the heart of the city’s commercial district within a historic building that stretches all the way along the north side of El Corte Inglés, the beautifully preserved and fully operational Imprenta has been active since 1913 and run over four generations by the Aguiló family. Their Heidelberg Minerva and Plano-cylindrical press, along with the workshop's spectacular jewel, the 12-ton Albert Frankenthal Planocylindrical press – dating back to 1913 – are still capable of creating all types of prints. Combining the latest technology with artisanal techniques, visitors experience this as a living, working printworks and gallery in constant motion.
Stepping into the Stick No Bills® Global Printworks is to be transported back through the last century of Mallorca’s history. Our collection includes prints produced on site by the Aguiló family to advertise cultural and sporting events, fiestas and nightclubs on the island merged with the Stick No Bills® officially licensed treasure trove of authentic, officially licensed destination marketing posters produced by the greatest travel brands of the 20th Century including Pan Am, British Airways, Lufthansa, Panagra, Braniff International and the Fomento de Turismo de Mallorca.

Stick No Bills® Global Fine Art Printworks & Poster Gallery en la Imprenta Nueva Balear se ha unido al Museo del Turismo como la “Sala 99” dentro de su red internacional de instituciones dedicadas al desarrollo de un turismo responsable.
“Nuestro objetivo principal es resaltar a las personas, empresas y destinos que han sentado las bases del mundo de los viajes, rindiendo homenaje a quienes nos precedieron. Ubicado en el corazón del distrito comercial de la ciudad de Palma, este taller operativo y maravillosamente conservado sigue activo desde 1913 y dirigido por cuatro generaciones de la familia Aguiló. Sus máquinas Heidelberg Minervas y Planocilindricas junto a la espectacular joya del taller la Planocilindrica Albert Frankenthal de 12 toneladas que data de 1913 son todavía capaces de crear impresiones de todo tipo desde Letterpress, Stampings, Relieves o Termo Relieves. Combinando la tecnología más actual con las técnicas más artesanales bajo la atenta mirada de todos los visitantes mientras contemplan sus paredes llenas de icónicas imágenes, un espacio único e irrepetible que se mantiene en constante movimiento.
Entrar a la Imprenta Nueva Balear, que aloja Stick No Bills® Global Printworks y su Galería, es transportarse al último siglo de la historia mallorquina. La colección de carteles incluye impresiones producidas in situ por la familia Aguiló para anunciar eventos culturales y deportivos, fiestas y discotecas de la isla. Estas litografías originales se presentan junto a carteles de viaje vintage, producidos por conocidas marcas del siglo XX, como son Pan Am, British Airways, Lufthansa, Panagra, Braniff International y el Fomento de Turismo de Mallorca, que han sido remasterizados, bajo licencia, por Stick No Bills®.
