Stick No Bills was founded by British entrepreneurs Meg Gage Williams and Philip James Baber in 2011 while running a ‘slightly Fawlty Towers’ surf hotel on the southwestern coast of Sri Lanka.

Already avid vintage poster collectors, a chance discovery in Colombo of a pile of old advertisements made in the late 1800s and early 1900s by tea, film, cruise and airline companies promoting trade with and travel to Sri Lanka (then known as "Ceylon") inspired a career shift and the couple opened their first gallery in an old Dutch townhouse in the historic centre of Galle Fort.

Over a decade later, alongside the original gallery, the brand has grown to include a Global Printworks in Palma De Mallorca, galleries on Hiriketiya beach near Tangalle, regional flagships in Dubai, Palma de Mallorca, and Barcelona.

The brand has become a global leader in creating, curating and remastering poster artworks celebrating the golden age of graphic advertising.

Centre stage in the Stick No Bills "archive of archives" is a historic collection sourced from the British Airways Heritage Centre that includes licensed works from the flag-carrier’s predecessor, the British Overseas Airways Corporation (featured).

Created between the 1920s and 1990s by some of the best-known names in the history of commercial illustration - think Mad Men on this side of the Atlantic - today Stick No Bills recreates these works under official license from BA using latest generation fine art printing, ink and museum-quality paper to ensure eye-popping, sustainable and fade resistant quality.

Available as open Premium Edition posters as well as numbered museum grade Limited Editions fine art prints and singular Master Editions featuring 24ct-gold lettering.
