Cornwall, c.1958. [Polperro] [British Railway] [F. Wootton]
A beautiful, authentic vintage poster created from an original watercolour by renowned British expedition artist Frank A.A. Wootton (for whom we have a dedicated collection) of the beautiful village of Polperro, Cornwall. This licensed poster artwork sourced from the archives of the British National Rail Museum was created to encourage travel for leisure and pleasure during the early twentieth century. This pioneering movement introduced Britons to the novel concept of weekend and holiday travel and created collections of beautiful artworks which we can still enjoy today.
